Free Christmas Meals Near Bellingham
While few programs are offering confirmed Christmas meals in Bellingham, we found some in the surrounding areas. We’ve included options both in and around Bellingham below:
Church of the Assumption on Cornwall – Bellingham
A free Christmas meal will be offered at the Church of the Assumption on Cornwall Avenue in Bellingham, WA. The meal will be served in the church’s gym, and will begin at 1 p.m. The church is located at 2116 Cornwall Ave, Bellingham, WA 98225. Call (360) 733-1380 with any questions.
Friendship House – Mount Vernon, Skagit County
Located at 108 Snoqualmie Street, Mount Vernon, WA 98273, Friendship House is serving both Christmas brunch and dinner. Brunch is served from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. and dinner is served from 3 to 5 p.m.
Everyone is welcome. Keep in mind that this program serves nutritious hot meals 365 days a year to anyone in need. Whether it’s the holiday season or just a hungry time, you can count on Friendship House for necessary meals.
Free community Christmas Dinner at Anacortes Lutheran Church
The Anacortes Lutheran Church, located at 2100 O Avenue, Anacortes, WA 98221, is offering a free Christmas Dinner on Monday, December 25th from 11 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.
The church will provide table service between 11 a.m. and 2:30 p.m., as well as a drive through pick-up service from 12:30 to 2:30 p.m. To enter, find the parking lot on “O” Avenue and proceed to the alley to pick up your meal. Questions? Call (360-293-9586).
Free Christmas Meals in Spokane
Finding confirmed free Christmas meals in Spokane has also proven to be difficult. We did, however, confirm via phone that the following location will offer a free Christmas meal on Christmas Eve:
Union Gospel Mission Men’s Shelter – Spokane
Although the Union Gospel Mission is a men’s shelter, the Christmas Eve meal is open to anybody, including women and children.
Located at 1224 East Trent Avenue, the shelter will begin serving dinner at 5 p.m and end services at 6:30 p.m. No pets are allowed except for service animals, and singles and families are both welcome. High chairs are available for youngsters. Large bags will need to be left in vehicles or at the entrance, and guests must be sober.
Those who can’t make it into the dining room can take a hot meal to go in a disposable container.
Free Christmas meals between Spokane and Bellingham

Christmas (and New Year) lunch at All Pilgrims Church
All Pilgrims Church on Capitol Hill is offering a free Christmas and New Year’s day meal for anyone who wants to join. The program typically serves ham or turkey alongside a vegetarian option. Food is served between 12 and 1 p.m. as a to-go option. Keep in mind that this program offers meals from 12 to 1 p.m. every weekday year round. If you’re looking for a non-holiday meal in the future, this may be a good option.
