International Women’s Day Celebration & Makers Market – 3/8

Stones Throw Brewery is hosting a full day celebration for International Women’s Day. From 12-8 pm, the brewery will host the Galley2Go food truck alongside GirlInDog Cookie. A gravel bike ride for female-identifying participants led by Shifting Gears will take place from 2-4 pm. From 5-9 pm, you can be the first to try the Women’s Brew, crafted entirely by the team’s female brewers. With each purchase of this special edition beer, Stone Throw Brewery will donate 10% to Pink Boots Society. You can also expect a Maker’s Market featuring work from 13 different female-identifying artists, live music from the Sweet Goodbyes, and featured artist Sara Preucil.

Fairhaven Ghost Tour – 3/9

Tap into your spooky side with a hyperlocal event this March. The Fairhaven Ghost Tour will take place at 7:30 p.m. on March 9th at Sycamore Square, Bellingham,WA, United States. This event is all about hearing interesting ghost stories, listening to genuine ghost recordings from the area, and of course, ghost hunting. It is not a historical tour. The event will take place rain or shine!

Best of the Seattle International Comedy Competition – 3/13 and 3/14

Is there a better activity for weed lovers than watching comedy? Get ready to laugh all night at the Best of the Seattle International Comedy Competition show. This event is a showcase of the top comics from an international comedy competition, so you know it will be hilarious. The comics include Brent Lowrey, Phillip Kopczyski, Greg Beachler, and Monica Nevi, representing the US, UK, Canada, and Japan. 

The shows will take place at the Mount Baker Theater, a large and historic venue in Bellingham. Shows take place 3/13/2024 @ 7:30 pm and 03/14/2024 @ 10:00 pm.

Whatcom READS: An Evening with Sasha taqʷšəblu LaPointe – 3/15

The Mount Baker Theatre is welcoming Sasha taqʷšəblu LaPointe, author of Red Paint: The Ancestral Autobiography of a Coast Salish Punk this March for a lecture and book signing. If you haven’t checked out her book yet, check it out. The event is sure to be enlightening and impactful, as the author shares her experience at the intersection of her Native identity and the thriving PNW punk rock scene.

St. Patrick’s Day Parade – 3/17

Celebrate all things green at the downtown Bellingham St. Patrick’s Day parade on Sunday, March 17th at noon. The event will begin at Waypoint Park and travel through downtown Bellingham, ending on Railroad Ave. outside of Depot Market.

You can march or watch from the sidelines. Participation is free. Just remember to wear your green!

Corner Sip & Paint – Georgia O’Keeffe – 3/18 

You don’t have to be an established artist to enjoy painting. Art is for everyone and can be a meaningful creative outlet regardless of your skill level. That’s why the Corner Taphouse’s Sip & Paint event is a great activity for everyone this March. 

The event runs from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. and will center around the works of Georgia O’Keeffe. Whether you already love painting or just want to try something new, this event is sure to be a hit.

Warp Detour 1 Year Anniversary At The Wild Buffalo 3/23

Do you like 2000s punk rock? Do you like to get down to NOFX, Rancid, Bad Religion, and Descendents? Are you just looking for a good and nostalgic time? Whatever the case, the Wild Buffalo has you covered. 

Join the Warp Detour’s one year anniversary event for a wild night of bands covering your favorite 2000s punk rock. The event will also include games, giveaways, contest, sign ups for guest lead singers, and of course, beach balls.
