Eat pie for Pi Day at Birdie’s Pie Shop – 3/14
Birdie’s Pie Shop is the place to be this March 14th—also known as Pi Day. Math nerd or not, who could turn down an opportunity to indulge in some delicious pie? The event will include free pie decorating, prize drawings, and pies for just $3.14.

St. Patrick’s Day Parade – 3/16
No March activities list would be complete without St. Patrick’s Day celebrations. Slated for Saturday, March 16th at 12 p.m., the 42nd annual St. Patrick’s Day Parade is sure to be a blast.
Hosted by the Friendly Sons of St. Patrick, a non-profit organization that honors those of Irish ancestry and provides donations to local non-profit organizations, the event is free and takes place in Downtown Spokane. Put on your favorite green outfit, gather your friends, and get to the parade!
St. Patrick’s Shenanigans @ Heartbreaker Tattoo and Artist Co-op – 3/16-17
Don’t let the St. Patrick’s Day fun end with the parade. Heartbreaker Tattoo and Artist Co-op will host fun, themed events all weekend—including St. Patrick’s flash tattoos. The event will include tattoo and piercing specials, featuring 20% off piercings and tattoos starting at just $80.
Additionally, the space is welcoming Trevon Walton for a fluid art demonstration from 3-7 p.m. on Saturday, March 16th.
Sweet tooths can enjoy some shamrock sugar cookies from BakeMyDay for $5 as well.
Shrek Rave @ The Knitting Factory – 3/16
Can you think of any better way to spend a Saturday night than at a Shrek-themed rave? No, we didn’t think so.
Join the Shrek Rave crew at the Knitting Factory for a night of swamp-themed entertainment. The event will feature green cocktails, lively DJ sets, and plenty of Shrek-themed costumes. Dress up as your favorite character or come as you are.
The Shrek Rave starts is 18+ (but we know if you’re reading this, you’re at least 21) and starts at 9 p.m.
Holi Celebration @ Southside Senior & Community Center – 3/23
If you’re looking for a fun, colorful time in Spokane this March, be sure to join the city’s Indian community for a Holi celebration at the Southside Senior and Community Center. Holi colors will be available for sale, and participants can throw powder paint and colored water to welcome spring, love, and new life. There will also be plenty of singing and dancing to keep the celebration going. While the event is free, participants will need to register before attending.
See “Dogs and Cats” at the Liberty Gallery – Through March 30th
Do you have a beloved dog, cat, or other furry friend that makes your life better? Celebrate their impact with a visit to the Liberty Gallery for the “Dogs and Cats” group display. This exhibit explores the significance of our pets felt around the world. Eleven artists created work in their preferred mediums to uniquely share the universal impacts pets have on our lives.

Welcome Spring with a nature walk
Though not an official event, we highly recommend you take advantage of the sunshine when it comes this Spring. Spokane is filled with so many beautiful places to take a peaceful walk and really soak up the sun as you wave goodbye to winter’s cold.
